Reservations Policies & Procedures

Deposit Policy
(1) Night’s lodging deposit plus 100% of D&SNG train, activities, trip insurance, and air travel reservations are due at time of booking. Balance of itinerary is due 30 days prior to arrival. The credit card on file will be charged at that time unless other payment arrangements have been made.

Holiday Deposit Policy
Christmas Holiday and Spring Break Reservations require final payment 45 days prior to arrival date.

Airfare Payment Policy
Airline tickets must be paid in full at the time of booking and is non-refundable once ticketed. Any changes to a ticketed reservation are $125 per change plus any increase in fare. Airline carriers reserve the right to change schedules without notice.

Remit payments by check/money order to:
Gateway Reservations, 2615 Main Ave., Suite A, Durango, CO 81301

The credit card given as deposit will automatically be charged for final payment if a check or money order payment has not been received prior to the final due date. A credit card placed on a reservation constitutes a payment and acceptance of the cancellation policy.

Cancellation Policy
All changes/cancellations must be made through Gateway Reservations directly.

LODGING:
Lodging property’s cancellation policy is used when booking lodging only (non-package) reservations.

PACKAGES (two or more itinerary items):
Packages canceled 30 days or more from arrival will incur a $35 cancellation fee. Trip insurance, airline tickets, and booking fees are non-refundable. There is no refund for packages canceled inside 30 days of arrival. Changing the dates of any confirmed package will incur a $26 change fee. Packages including Durango Mountain Resort lodging at Cascade Village, Lodge at Tamarron, East Rim, and Purgatory Village will forfeit one night's lodging if canceled 30 or more days prior to arrival.

HISTORIC TRAIN:
All above cancellation fees are in addition to the D&SNG train’s cancellation fees, if applicable, which are $15.75 per adult and $8.75 per child. Any changes made to your train reservation will incur a $7.75 per person change fee. Cancellations for train tickets inside 4 days from your scheduled departure date are non-refundable.

Trip Insurance
Coverage for trip cancellation due to certain unforeseen circumstances, trip delay and interruption are available. Overall, travel protection insurance is an excellent value for protecting your vacation investment and costs 6.5% of your travel itinerary. Trip insurance is non-refundable once purchased. Notice of Responsibility
For all arrangements, Gateway Reservations acts solely in the capacity of an agent on behalf of its patrons in arranging for air, lodging, and other services, and, as such, is not responsible for any damages, loss, delay, bankruptcy, injury, or accidents due to any act or default on the part of any company or person engaged in providing transportation, lodging or other services which are a part of this package. Gateway Reservations is not responsible for lost tickets or vouchers.
