Summer Train Schedule

D&SNGRRRelive history with the sights and sounds of yesteryear for a truly spectacular journey on board the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Experience the adventure of traveling by a coal-fired, steam-powered locomotive on the same tracks miners, cowboys and settlers of the old west took over a century ago. The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad winds through spectacular & breathtaking canyons in the remote wilderness of the two-million acre San Juan National Forest for an unforgettable year round adventure.

With the regular fare you may choose seating in either the Open Air Gondola or Closed Coach Car. A 1st Class parlor car fare (age 21+) is also available, and includes complimentary non-alcoholic beverages. Full-bar service is available.

Be sure to visit the Durango Museum and the Silverton Freight Museum, both included in the price of the ticket!

Note:Children under 5 are free if seated on an adult's lap. If a seat is required, you must purchase a child's ticket.

Summer / Fall  - Train up/ Bus Return Schedule

Enjoy the beautiful ride on the Train to Silverton, a 2 hour layover in Silverton then return to durango aboard a D&SNGRR motor coach along 52 miles of the San Juan Scenic Byway.
FARES: Add $17 to Standard and Deluxe Class train ticket fare. Add the bus to your Presidential or First Class train ticket at no additional charge.

Elegant Private Cars
For a once in a lifetime experience, charter an elegant 1880's coach. These classic vintage cars will be pulled behind one of our regularly scheduled trains for a very special experience. All Private Cars are rented exclusively to the booking party. Each car is connected to the end of the train and there is no walk-through traffic. These cars are chartered based on availability of the specific car and train availability. Summer / Fall - Bus up / Train Return Schedule

Enjoy the morning aboard a D&SNGRR motor coach traveling to Silverton along 52 miles of San Juan Scenic Byway. The morning bus allows guests 3 hours in Silverton before the train departs.
FARES: Add $12 to Standard and Deluxe Class train ticket fare. Add the bus to your Presidential or First Class train ticket at no additional charge.
